Dr Pritha Das
Senior Research Fellow
Pritha is a Senior Research Fellow of Neuroimaging. Her research focus in the Clinic has encompassed how dysfunctional neural networks give rise to psychiatric disorders and more recently on understanding the neurobiological mechanisms behind affective signs and symptoms as precursors of mood disorders in adolescence.
Her interest also lies in identifying a brain signature underlying suicidal ideation and behaviours in patients with mood disorders and this will ultimately allow the detection of patients at high risk and inform the development of targeted preventions.
She completed her PhD in Applied Mathematics in 1999 from the University of New South Wales and has since gained extensive experience in the analysis of functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data.
